CEREC is the acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. This innovative technology works with intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) to design and mill high-quality dental crowns in our office.

With CEREC, there's no need for messy impressions, multiple visits, or a temporary crown while waiting weeks for your permanent restoration. Instead, our dental team uses a handheld intraoral scanner to take mess-free digital impressions of your teeth. They then use the highly detailed and accurate images to design a custom dental crown that blends seamlessly with your smile. The CAD/CAM system mills the crown from a high-quality biocompatible ceramic, which is then expertly adjusted and cemented in place. 

We use intraoral scanners to capture detailed, 3-D impressions of your teeth and gums quickly and comfortably. An intraoral scanner is a small handheld wand that we move over your teeth, and as it scans, it creates a high-resolution digital image of your teeth and gums. This leading-edge technology provides an accurate impression used for a range of procedures, including same-day crowns, dental implants, and Invisalign treatment.

A major benefit of intraoral scanners is patient comfort. Traditional dental impressions require you to bite down on a tray filled with a messy paste which can be an uncomfortable and gag-inducing experience. Intraoral scanners eliminate the need for these traditional impressions in many cases.

Dental anxiety is common for many patients, and we offer nitrous oxide to ensure a safe, comfortable, and relaxed dental experience. 

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas," is a mild sedative we administer through a small nose mask. As you inhale the gas, it quickly takes effect to help soothe nervous or anxious feelings throughout your dental appointment. Our trained dental team can easily adjust the level of sedation to suit your needs and ensure your comfort.

Another benefit of nitrous oxide sedation is that the effects wear off quickly once we stop the flow of gas. In its place, we have you inhale pure oxygen for several minutes so the groggy feelings dissipate, and you can drive yourself home safely after your appointment.

Nitrous oxide is considered extremely safe when administered by a trained dental professional, and it's helpful for patients of all ages, including children.
